Good Werks Project

The month of May is National Foster Care Awareness month. Every day 1,200 kids in the United States enter the foster care system. Often, when a child enters foster care, they are given two trash bags to carry any belongings that they are able to bring. Together We Rise is attempting to change that with their Sweet Case program.

On May 8th, the Good Werks Project was excited to host our first paint and sip event to personalize Sweet Cases to be delivered to children entering foster care in the DFW area. Each Sweet Case includes a brand new duffel bag, stuffed animal, blanket, coloring book, pack of crayons, and hygiene kit. It is our hope that every child who receives one of these Sweet Cases knows that there are people in the community who are rooting for them.
